Terms of service

Last updated August 2026.

The service

DataMold lets you build forms, publish them, and store and work with the responses. You need a Google account to sign in. Creating an account creates a workspace, and you own it.

Your content

You keep every right to your forms and to the responses you collect. You are responsible for what you collect and for having a lawful basis to collect it — including telling the people filling in your forms what you are doing with their answers. You must not use the service to collect payment card numbers, or to collect anything unlawful.

Plans and payment

Paid plans are billed once a year in advance and are not pro-rated on cancellation. Prices and the limits attached to each plan can change; a change never applies to a term you have already paid for.

If a paid plan lapses, the retention and deletion described in our privacy and retention policy applies. Read it before you rely on us to hold files.

Limits

Each plan has a monthly write limit and a monthly read limit, and a workspace that reaches one stops at it until the meter resets on the 1st. We also apply per-minute rate limits to public endpoints to protect the service. We will not throttle you without those limits being visible in your own usage page first.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to send unsolicited mail, to phish, to host malware, or to attack anyone. We may suspend a workspace that does, without notice, and we will tell you why.

Availability

We work hard to keep the service up and we do not promise it will never be down. Nothing here is a service-level agreement unless you have one in writing.

Ending it

You can close a workspace at any time from Settings. We may close an account that breaks these terms. Either way, take your backup first — see the privacy policy for what happens next.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or for data you did not back up.
